The Setting Makes The Difference – About Our Tranquil Facility
At the Fullbrook Center, our clinical goal is to reinforce the mastery of the 12-Step Program concepts and principles with therapeutic interventions, using modern, evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to each individual client and we know that to do so, our facility plays a huge role in the equation. We understand that the environment this kind of work is done in is critical to the success of clients. Our women-only residential substance use treatment facility is thoughtfully located in Fredericksburg, Texas on 10 acres in the Texas Hill Country to provide an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort.
Home Away From Home
Our facility was first a bed and breakfast, which gives the campus a cottage feel and isn’t a typical clinical setting. We have 29 beds and no more than four clients are assigned to the same room. Every room is equipped with twin or queen beds and a restroom. Laboratories are also found throughout the facility. The kitchen is conveniently located in the main house where all the clients are encouraged to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner together to create a big family-like environment. Clients have all they need on campus, including laundry amenities. Everything is within access but spread out on 10 acres of land. Our facility layout enables us to get to know our clients in an intimate way while giving them space if they need it.
10 Acres for Recovery
The Hill Country is home to many species of wildlife which can be seen throughout the campus. A beautiful and calming creek is located down the road from Fullbrook, and it’s an added spot that offers tranquility. There is plenty of space for daily scenic walks, which we encourage clients to take as often as possible. The clinical building overlooks the valley with scenic views and can calm the most anxious soul before a therapy session. The city is located within four miles from the facility and provides convenience for any outside treatments that are needed.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Our clinical, medical and recovery team are all onsite as well and are supported by our amazing administration team. We also offer Equine therapy as part of our treatment plans. Clients usually stay onsite unless there is a scheduled outing or if they need to get labs done or see a specialist off-campus.
Though we may not provide the typical clinical environment, we are one of the only facilities that is Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) accredited, which means we have taken steps to seek accreditation to ensure our women receive the best possible care.
