Our Programs at The Fullbrook Center

A Safe Haven for Women Seeking Transformation

At The Fullbrook Center, we understand that recovery is about more than just overcoming substance use—it’s about healing from the deepest wounds that have shaped our experiences. Every woman who walks through our doors carries a story of struggle, resilience, and the desire for something more. We are here to honor that journey, providing a safe and compassionate space where trauma treatment and addiction treatment work hand in hand to foster true transformation.

Healing isn’t just about stopping a behavior—it’s about unlearning the pain that led you there in the first place. That’s why we ask women to do difficult inner work: because the only way out is through.

Our women’s addiction treatment center offers a full continuum of care, from detox to outpatient programs, ensuring that no matter where you are on your path, you have the guidance and support to recover. Our treatment programs integrate evidence-based addiction treatment modalities with experiential therapies, along with the 12 Steps, providing a foundation for women to find freedom not just from substance use disorder, but from the emotional burdens they have carried for far too long.

DETOX: The First Step Toward Freedom

The journey to healing starts with safety and stability. Our medically supervised detox program is designed specifically for women, ensuring that you are cared for in a way that honors both your physical and emotional well-being. We know how overwhelming this first step can feel, but you are not alone.

Here, withdrawal is met with compassion, not shame. Under the care of our expert medical team, your body will begin the process of releasing toxins while your heart and mind prepare for the work ahead. We create individualized plans to ensure that your transition is as comfortable and supportive as possible, setting the stage for deeper healing to begin.

Residential Treatment: A Place to Rebuild

For those who need the structure and support of inpatient treatment, our residential program offers a sacred space for women to do the hard but necessary work of recovery. In our welcoming, home-like treatment facility, healing happens through connection, honesty, and the unwavering support of a community that truly understands.

Here, women begin to unravel the ties between their traumatic experiences, substance abuse, and mental health disorders through individual therapy, group work, and experiential therapies that invite the body, mind, and spirit to heal as one. Our focus is on true healing, not just symptom management. Women in our program begin to see the patterns that have kept them stuck and find the courage to rewrite their stories. At Fullbrook, we believe that it takes an experience to create trauma, and it will take an experience to heal from it. We provide that experience.

Through addiction and trauma treatment and the 12 Steps, our clients learn that their past does not define them. They step into their power, reclaiming the ability to be the women they’ve always wanted to be.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Structure With Flexibility

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed for women who are ready to transition from inpatient treatment but still need a high level of support. This program bridges the gap between residential treatment and independent living, allowing women to continue their healing journey in a structured but flexible setting.

Through daily mental health treatment, relapse prevention strategies, and deep therapeutic work, clients begin to reintegrate into their lives with newfound strength and clarity. Whether it’s processing unresolved trauma, developing new coping strategies, or strengthening the spiritual foundation of the 12 Steps, this level of care provides the essential tools for long-term success.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Carrying Healing Into Everyday Life

Recovery doesn’t stop when treatment ends—it becomes a way of life. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)ensures that women continue to receive the guidance, accountability, and emotional support needed to navigate real-world challenges.

This program is ideal for those balancing work, family, or other commitments while still prioritizing their recovery. Through weekly individual and group therapy, holistic wellness practices, and relapse prevention education, women build a solid foundation for lasting recovery.

With the continued support of our treatment center, women leave our care knowing that they are never alone. They carry with them the lessons, strength, and sisterhood they’ve built, ensuring that recovery becomes not just a phase, but a way of living fully and freely.

FAQs About The Fullbrook Center’s Treatment Programs

The Fullbrook Center is a women’s-only rehab center that integrates evidence-based treatment modalities with trauma treatment. We believe that substance abuse and trauma are intertwined, which is why our approach treats both simultaneously. Our nurturing, home-like environment allows women to do the hard work of healing while feeling safe, supported, and empowered.

Yes, we provide comprehensive treatment for alcohol abuse, including detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient care. Many of the women we help struggle with alcohol addiction alongside past trauma. Our clinical team supports clients through medical detox and intensive therapy, helping them heal from the root causes of their drinking while learning new coping strategies.

Our evidence-based treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma, group therapy, and experiential therapy. In addition to these clinical methods, we also integrate the 12 Steps, recognizing that they are therapeutic in nature and offer a foundation for long-term healing, and experiential activities, which have been shown to improve positive outcomes in treatment.

While The Fullbrook Center serves women from all over Texas and beyond, it is not located directly in Austin. Our treatment facility is about an hour and a half outside of Austin, offering a peaceful setting where women can focus fully on their recovery. Many clients find that being in a tranquil, retreat-like environment away from daily triggers is an essential part of their healing journey.

We offer a full continuum of care, including:

  • Medically supervised detox to safely manage withdrawal symptoms
  • Residential inpatient treatment for immersive, structured care
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for intensive day treatment with the ability to return home in the evenings
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for ongoing support while balancing daily responsibilities

Each of our treatment programs is designed to help women heal from both substance use disorder and trauma, providing the structure and tools they need to rebuild their lives.

We understand that recovery is a lifelong journey. Our programs focus heavily on relapse prevention, teaching women to recognize triggers, develop coping skills, and lean on evidence-based treatment modalities that support lasting change. By integrating therapeutic techniques with the spiritual principles of the 12 Steps, we empower women to build a life beyond addiction—one that is filled with peace, self-worth, and purpose.

Since trauma and mental health disorders often go hand in hand with substance abuse, we offer specialized care for women struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other co-occurring conditions. Through trauma-informed therapy, we help women process their deepest wounds and develop the skills needed to manage their mental health in healthy, sustainable ways.
