Women's Trauma Recovery In Texas

The Fullbrook Center is a clinician-owned and operated residential treatment facility for women, designed to help women heal from substance abuse, trauma, and mental health concerns. Founded by a husband and wife team, Josh and Jessica Slay, we blend clinical expertise to create a unique program for women. The Fullbrook Center is the only boutique facility in Texas that is women-only, in-network, ASAM accredited, that specializes in substance abuse and trauma treatment.

Treating Addiction and Trauma Side by Side

At The Fullbrook Center, we believe that healing begins when women are given the space and safety to confront the pain they’ve been carrying—often for years. We treat addiction and trauma side-by-side, because we know from experience that one cannot heal without addressing the other. Every woman who walks through our doors is met with compassion, community, and the opportunity to recover from her deepest wounds. Our goal isn’t just sobriety—it’s transformation.

THE FULLBROOK PHILOSOPHY

STRENGTH. CONNECTION. FREEDOM.

Strength: THE COURAGE TO BE VULNERABLE

The courage to be transparent and honest.

The courage to ask for help.

The courage to surrender to the process.

The courage to do the work necessary to find freedom.

CONNECTION: THE FEELING OF BELONGING AND ACCEPTANCE

Women finding connection to oneself.

Women finding connection amongst other women.

Achievement of spiritual connection.

FREEDOM: SPIRITUAL WHOLENESS

No longer held hostage by addiction, trauma, and emotional pain.

Finding and achieving self-reliance, confidence, and independence.

THE FULLBROOK PROGRAM

Nestled in the tranquil Texas Hill Country, the Fullbrook Center is a residential treatment center providing sanctuary for women battling addiction and trauma. The center has a limited capacity to ensure an intimate and personal experience throughout our 30-90 day programs.

We use a simultaneous, integrative approach to treating trauma and substance abuse—because we understand they are deeply intertwined. The 12 Steps are therapeutic in nature, and our clinical goal is to help women master these principles while also developing the emotional insight and coping skills that come through trauma treatment. This dual path allows our clients to create new patterns, release old narratives, and begin living in alignment with who they truly are.

Fullbrook’s treatment methodology combines the 12-step approach with an array of cutting-edge, evidence-based modalities such as mindfulness skills, trauma therapy, shame resiliency, and Attachment Theory. Our staff is intentionally selected: their areas of expertise and training are critical to our vision and philosophy.

OUR CONTINUUM OF CARE: HEALING AT EVERY STAGE

Every woman’s journey is unique—and so is her path to recovery. That’s why Fullbrook offers a full continuum of care, from the first step of detox through the ongoing support of outpatient programming. We meet each woman where she is and walk beside her as she reclaims her life.

Detox: A Safe and Supported Beginning

The healing journey begins with safety. Our medically supervised detox provides women with a calm, compassionate environment where their physical needs are closely monitored by expert clinicians. But detox isn’t just about the body—it’s about creating a space where emotional safety and dignity are honored. We understand this is one of the most vulnerable moments in a woman’s life, and we are here to help her begin again with confidence and care.

Residential Treatment: Deep, Immersive Healing

In our residential program, women are immersed in a nurturing, home-like environment where major healing takes place. Through a combination of 12-Step integration, trauma-focused therapy, holistic modalities, and peer support, women begin to understand how trauma and substance use have impacted their lives—and how to begin living differently. Here, they don’t just recover—they begin to heal on a soul level.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Intensive, Daytime Support

Our PHP program is a powerful middle ground for women who are ready for more independence but still need structure. With full clinical days, continued trauma and addiction therapy, and connection to our Fullbrook community, women in PHP continue their healing while starting to reintegrate into daily life. They practice new skills in real time, and develop resilience in the face of life’s challenges.

IOP is for the woman who is stepping back into her world—but not without support. With flexible programming that accommodates daily commitments, our IOP helps women stay grounded in their recovery while building the life they were always meant to have. This is where the work becomes part of who she is. This is where we see women shine.

Whether you’re just beginning or continuing your journey, The Fullbrook Center is here to walk with you through the discomfort, through the pain, and into the healing. You are not broken. You are becoming. And we are honored to be part of that transformation.
